Dolores J. Byers

Dolores J. Byers, 87, of Elizabethtown went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, June 24, 2011 at Manor Care, Elizabethtown. Born in West Donegal Township, she was the daughter of the late John and Etta Rineer Stehman. She was the wife of the late Paul W. Byers who died in 2004. Dolores was a member of Grace Chapel Church, Elizabethtown. Her interests included cooking, flower gardening and especially spending time with her family. Surviving are nine children, John husband of Beverly Horst, Linda Adams, Joyce wife of Harold Golden all of Elizabethtown, Robert husband of Dorothy Horst of Lancaster, Rebecca wife of Edward Matheny, Thomas husband of Yvonne Horst, Cindy wife of Joe Clay, Robin wife of Jon Booth all of Elizabethtown and Bert husband of Lisa Byers of Wrightsville, three step children, William husband of Candy Byers of Lititz, Linda wife of Tom Ditzler of Lebanon and Wendy wife of Bill Pearson of Watsonville, 22 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, 12 great great grandchildren, 7 step grandchildren, 7 step great grandchildren, a brother, John husband of Mary Stehman of Lititz and four sisters, Ruth Smith, Jean wife of Mike Waybright both of Palmyra, Annabelle wife of Frank Greenly of Elizabethtown and Joann wife of Thomas Fogie Sr. of Maytown. She was preceded in death by one grandson, one great grandson, one brother and four sisters. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her memorial service at the Heilig Funeral Home, 21 West Main Street, Mount Joy on Friday, July 1, 2011 at 12:00 Noon with Pastor Melvin Weaver officiating. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Friday morning from 11:30 AM until the time of service. Please omit flowers.
