Diana L. Stauffer
“Champion for Children”
Diana L. Stauffer, 71, of Lititz, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, died peacefully on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family. Born in Richmond Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Alcienia Cross. She was the loving wife of William N. Stauffer and they observed their 38th wedding anniversary in November of this year. For many years Diana and her husband were foster parents for Lancaster County Children and Youth. Throughout the years Diana and William lovingly cared for many children in the Lancaster County area. She was a past president of the Foster Parents Association of Lancaster County and a member of the Lititz VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Diana loved flower and vegetable gardening, cooking, drawing, writing poetry, and music. She was a great lover of animals of all kinds, but her greatest love and passion was her family.
Surviving in addition to her husband William, is a son Michael Stauffer at home, 13 daughters: Cynthia wife of Esteban Artega, Ricka wife of James Turner, Nicole Brantner, all of Ephrata, Tracy Hughes, of Lititz, Kari wife of Jason Fisher, of Elizabethtown, Angela Rios, of Willow Street, Hope Gardner of Texas, Carla Hughes of Stevens, Marie wife of Art Hughes of Florida, Toni wife of Martin Sherrar of York, Tasha Lewis, Delight Lemay, Andrea Cross all of Lancaster, 22 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren, two sisters: Beverly wife of Ralph Hahn of Greensburg, IN., Sherry Cross of Richmond, IN., a brother, Kenneth Jr. husband of Sue Cross of Indianapolis, IN. Preceding her in death is a brother Jeff Cross, and a granddaughter, Kendall Kirk.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Diana’s service of Remembrance and Thanksgiving at the Buch Funeral Home, 216 South Broad Street, Lititz, on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 4:00 PM. There will be a viewing at the funeral home on Saturday afternoon from 3:00 PM until the time of the service. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
