Dennis M. Sanchez, 55, passed away on Friday, August 29, 2014. He was the owner, cook, comedian and sometimes magician of Jimbo’s Deli and Pizza in Manheim, PA for over twenty four years. The motto of his shop was; "Life's Too Short - Enjoy Every Sandwich!" He lived life to the fullest spending most of his time at his shop and helping each customer and friend enjoy every sandwich. Denny gave his time and food to various charities and organizations such as the Baron Football Booster Club and the Press Box. When he wasn’t at the shop, he was enjoying baseball…his favorite teams were the St. Louis Cardinal’s and the Philadelphia Phillies .His laughter and Gutstuffer steak sandwiches will be missed by many.
Surviving are four brothers, Paul husband of Lisa Sanchez of Manheim, William husband of Carmen Sanchez of Virginia, David Sanchez of Mount Joy, Michael husband of Denise Sanchez of North Carolina and three sisters, Diana Groff of Lancaster, Carmen wife of Dale Bezzard of Manheim, Mildred Sanchez of Mount Joy. He is also survived by SSgt. Steven J. Morris, formerly of Rohrerstown, PA, who was like a son to Dennis since the age of four.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his memorial service at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at 10:30 AM. Interment will be private. Friends may visit with the family from 9:30 AM until the time of service.
