Delmer Dee Willen, 81, of Manheim, died peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family on May 16, 2018. He was the husband of the late Arlene E. (Fisher) Willen who died in 2016. Born in Mountain City, TN on April 17, 1937, he was the son of the late Conley R. and Bonnie A. (Elliott) Willen. Dee, as he was affectionately known, was a truck driver for the former Pennfield Farms, Fredericksburg, PA before retiring. Dee and his wife enjoyed traveling in their motor home and attending Blue Grass festivals, but his greatest joy was spending time with his family.
Surviving is a son Kenneth D. Willen, Manheim; three daughters Lois Miles (Edward), Elizabethtown, Diane Burger, Hallem, Michelle Willen, Manheim; 10 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and a sister Venice Atwood (Delbert), West Grove.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his funeral service at the Milton Grove United Methodist Church, 2026 Cloverleaf Road, Mount Joy on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at 10:30 AM. There will be a viewing on Tuesday at the church from 9:30 AM until the time of the service. Interment will be in Kraybill Mennonite Cemetery, Mount Joy. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Dee’s memory may be sent to the Alzheimer’s Association, 2595 Interstate Dr., Suite 100, Harrisburg PA 17110-9378.
