Dawn B. Long

Dawn B. Long, 78, formerly of Mount Joy, died Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at Elizabeth Manor Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center, Elizabethtown. She was the widow of Paul D. Long, Jr. who died in August 2017. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of David and Elsie Alberta (Foltz) Young. Dawn was a homemaker helping to raise her family most of her life, but had been employed by Lititz Mutual Insurance Co., Lititz, Weis Markets, Mount Joy, and worked part time at Root’s Country Market and Auction, Manheim. In her spare time Dawn enjoyed taking care of her family & grandchildren, baking, doing crossword puzzles, and watching television.

Surviving are three sons, David M. husband of Vanessa Long, Marietta, Jeffrey P. husband of Heather Long, Lititz, Michael S. husband of Sheryl Long, Elizabethtown; seven grandchildren; a brother Glenn Young; and a sister Darlene “Dolly” Young, both of Lititz. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Donna Young.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 W. Main St. Mount Joy on Sunday December 23, 2018 at 5:00 PM. Interment will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville PA on Monday December 24 at 9:00 AM. There will be a public viewing at the funeral home from 4:00 PM until the time of the service.
