David R. Grimm, 55, of Bedington Circle, Manheim died peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at Hospice of Lancaster County, Mount Joy.
Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Richard J. Grimm and Anna Kupres Grimm of Manheim. David was an electrician for thirty-five years; and was employed for over thirty years for the former Electrical Construction By M / L of Manheim. He was a 1973 graduate of Manheim Central High School. David was a five year member of the Harley Owners Group (HOG) and was an avid follower of Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh. Davids two passions in lifewere motorcycle riding, and his family. He was devoted to his family and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, Hailey Ian. He treasured his red Harley Davidson motorcycle he named Sporty; and loved riding his motorcycle with his sister, Celeste. David will miss his thirteen-year -old black cat affectionately named Furball.
Surviving in addition to his mother, are two daughters, Addy Renee Grimm of Johnson City, NY, Erin Kate wife of Bryan Keith Bowser of Lebanon, two grandchildren, Hailey Madison Cecilia Bowser and Ian Richard Bowser, three step-grandchildren, Kyle, Alicia, and Nathan Bowser, two brothers, Joseph Michael husband of Trudy Grimm, Mark Robert husband of Karen Grimm all of Manheim, and a sister, Celeste Christine wife of Richard W. Groff of Lititz. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Sarah Cecilia Marigold Bowser.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Richard Catholic Church, 110 North Oak Street, Manheim on Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at 10:30 AM with Reverend Father Francis T. Menei as celebrant. Interment will be held in Manheim Fairview Cemetery, Penn Township. There will be a viewing on Monday evening, at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim, from 6:30 PM until 8:00 PM with additional viewing on Tuesday morning at the church from 9:30 AM until the time of the service.
