David L. Miller 77, of Mertztown, and formerly of Lancaster County, died peacefully on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at Cedar Crest Post Acute, Allentown. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of Elva Longenecker Miller of Lititz, and the late Ernest Miller. David was a Pastor in the Church of the Brethren, serving in churches throughout Eastern and Central Pennsylvania. He was the loving husband of Martha Dodson Miller and they observed their 54th wedding anniversary in August of last year. David had a passion for music, he played the accordion and guitar, and enjoyed going to concerts especially if Blue Grass Music was highlighted. He was an avid reader and enjoyed writing. He loved his family, and cherished any time he could spend with his wife, children, grandchildren, and great grandson.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Martha, is a son: Walter husband of Brienne Miller of Gaffney, SC, two daughters: Alisa DiAddezio of Thorndale, Rachel Miller of Mertztown, six grandchildren, one great grandson, and a brother, Danny husband of Cheri Miller North Fort Myers, Fl. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Rebecca Miller.
All are invited to David’s Memorial Service at White Oak Church, 1211 North Penryn Road, Manheim, on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at 11:00 AM. Interment will be private at Longenecker Cemetery, Lititz. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent in David’s memory to: COBYS Family Services, Development Office, 1891 Santa Barbara Drive, Lancaster, PA 17601.
