David D. Faus

   David D. Faus, 75, of Landisville, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, died peacefully on Monday, April 14, 2025 at his home. Born in Mastersonville, he was the son of the late Jay L. Sr. and Verna Ginder Faus. Dave was the loving husband of Kathleen “Kathy” Smith Faus and they would have observed their 53rd wedding anniversary in May of this year. For over 50 years Dave worked as a supervisor for Fabral Metal Wall and Roof Systems, Incorporated, Lancaster. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed spending time at the family cabin “Pappy’s Retreat” in Mifflin County. Dave was a member of the Elstonville Sportsmen’s Association and the Germania Band Club, Manheim. He had a life-long deep passion for his family and cherished all the time he could spend with his wife, children, and grandchildren.

   Surviving in addition to his wife Kathy, are two sons: D. Eric Faus of Mountville, Timothy A. husband of Cori Faus of Manheim, a daughter, Lynelle wife of Nate Heckrote of Landisville, five grandchildren: Austin, Tucker, Chase, Addison, Vail, two brothers: John H. husband of Beckee Faus of Manheim, Larry E. husband of Rose Faus of Conestoga, three sisters: Shirley A. Dellinger of York, Mary Jane Sollenberger of Breinigsville, Thelma E. wife of Marlin Shellenberger of Manheim, a sister-in-law, Marlene Faus of Manheim and many nieces and nephews. Dave will be lovingly missed by the family dog, Onyx. Preceding him in death is a brother, Jay L. Faus Jr., brother-in-law, Leroy Sollenberger, and a niece, Lori Michelle Faus.

   Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend David’s memorial service at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim, on Saturday, April 19, 2025 at 11:00 AM. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent in Dave’s memory to the Children’s Miracle Network, 1249 Cocoa Ave. Ste. 115, Hershey, PA 17033, or Hospice and Community Care, P. O. Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604-4125. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
