David R. Brown

  David R. Brown, 41, of Lititz, passed away on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at his home in Lititz. He was born on April 15, 1982 in Portsmouth, NH. He is the son of Debra A. Jones Brown of Spring Hill, FL, and James L Brown III husband of Heather Brown of Windsor, ME. David was the husband of Amanda Root Brown, and the father of Hailey Brown, both of Ephrata. David graduated from Coatesville Area High School, Class of 2001. After graduation he became the proud Father of a little baby girl, Hailey Brown, who was the “Apple of his Eye”. For the past few years David worked in the maintenance department for Giant Grocery Store in Lititz. David attended Trinity Evangelical Congregational Church in Lititz. He enjoyed the competition found while playing alongside his friends on their church softball team. His passion for the game of baseball led to his love for teaching and coaching his daughter Hailey during her softball games, in her early years. Having a love of spending time outdoors, David was often seen playing impromptu games with Hailey in the neighborhood or at the local park, building elaborate snow castles in the back yard or sharing his interests in astronomy and geology. David enjoyed searching for treasures of fossils and shells at the seashore, or rock formations in the mountains. He was a history buff and loved to find the facts and back stories of events in the past.

  Surviving in addition to his parents, wife, and daughter; is a sister, Robin wife of Michael Fuller of Windsor, ME, a brother, James L. Brown IV of West Chester, three nephews and one niece.

  David's Celebration of Life Service will take place at the Buch Funeral Home, 216 South Broad Street, Lititz, on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at 12:00 noon. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 11:00 AM until the time of the service.
