Darlene Sipel-Hart

Darlene Sipel-Hart, 56, of Lancaster, died peacefully at home on Saturday December 10, 2016, surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was the widow of the late Dennis Sipel. Born in Astoria, NY, she is the daughter of Thomas Sottosanti and the late Florence (Zimmerman) Sottosanti. Darlene was a graduate of Farmingdale High School, New York. She was a caring person with a beautiful soul and enjoyed being a homemaker most of her life. She loved horses, antiques, crafting, going on roadtrips, and spending time with her family and friends.


Surviving is a daughter Tara, wife of Joe Ney, Lancaster; a son Casey Gaissert, companion of Angie Hunsberger, Lancaster; three grandchildren Cody, Alex, and Parker; brother in law Joseph Carruba; nephew Joey Carruba; and niece Samantha Carruba. In addition to her husband and mother, she was preceded in death by her beautiful sister, Josephine Carruba.


Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her service of Celebration and Remembrance at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 W. Main St. Mount Joy on Saturday December 17, 2016 at 10AM. Interment will be at Mt. Tunnel Cemetery, Elizabethtown. There will be a public viewing on Friday December 16 at the Buch Funeral Home: 1:00 – 3:00 pm and 6:00 – 8:00 pm, and also on Saturday at 9:00 AM until the time of the service.
