Daniel W. Lindsey, Sr., 70, of Manheim, went to be with his Lord & Savior, surrounded by his family on Monday, November 28, 2016 at the Lebanon VA Medical Center. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Raymond and Genevieve (Pazoria) Lindsey. Daniel was the loving husband of Barbara Baes Lindsey, and they celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary in March of this year. Daniel served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He worked as a tool and die maker at Budd Company in Philadelphia and Astro Machine in Ephrata. He was a member of St. Richard Catholic Church, Manheim, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking and gardening, and was a Manheim Central football fan.
Surviving in addition to his wife Barbara are three sons, Daniel Lindsey, Jr. companion of Lena White, Robert husband of Heather, Matthew husband of Michelle, and one daughter, Dawn wife of Victor Moreno, all of Manheim; brothers Raymond husband of Chris of Winthrop, ME, and Richard husband of Bengie of Manheim; sisters Janine Lindsey of Manheim, Kathy Lesnevec of Bensalem, and Kathryn Hassler of Levittown; several nieces and nephews; 11 grandchildren, four step grandchildren, and one great-grandson, Cayden. Daniel was predeceased by two brothers, Gregory and Gary Lindsey.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Daniel’s funeral service at St. James Catholic Church, 505 Woodcrest Ave., Lititz, PA 17543 on Friday, December 2, 2016 at 11:00 AM. There will be a viewing at Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim Thursday evening from 6:30 – 8:30 PM, and on Friday morning at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Interment will be held in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
