Dana K. Rannels, 54, of Lancaster passed away at home on Thursday, June 24, 2010. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Clifford L. and Ruth Huber Rannels. Dana attended and was very active with the Church of Word International, Lancaster. He enjoyed collecting coins and sharing those coins with his family. He traveled to Arizona and studied American History culture. Dana also loved to make care packages and send them to many foreign countries. His pride and joy was his children and family.
Surviving are two sons, Aaron Lee Kaena Rannels of Washington, DC, William Mathias Kealii husband of Yvonne Marie Kanani Rannels of Lorton, VA and a daughter, Desiree Angelina Kaipolani Rannels of Arlington, VA; a grandson, Mathias Calsan Kalamaokamahina Rannels; one brother, Samuel C. Rannels of Lancaster and a sister, Janell V. wife of Verle Nolt of Conestoga. He was preceded in death by two brothers, David C. and Kenneth B. Rannels.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his funeral service at Heilig Funeral Home 21 West Main Street Mount Joy, PA on Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at 11:00 AM. Interment in Ruhls United Methodist Cemetery, Rapho Township, PA. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Tuesday morning from 10:30 AM until the time of service.
