Dale E. Pyzer, 68, of Fairview Road, Lititz, and formerly of Colorado, died peacefully surrounded by his family on Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at Hospice of Lancaster County, Mount Joy.
Born in Los Angeles, he was the son of the late M.O. and Gertrude Pyzer. Dale retired as Vice President of the Black Gold Asphalt Company in Denver, Colorado. He was a veteran, and served in the United States Army. Dale was the loving husband of Karen Brubaker Pyzer and they observed their 27th wedding anniversary in February of this year. Dale excelled in many sports and was a great athlete throughout his life; He was an avid golfer, and took lessons and played with golf professional Chi Chi Rodriguez at Pebble Beach Golf Club. He also played in many tennis tournaments, and was an excellent horseback rider.
Surviving in addition to his wife, is a daughter, Natasha Pyzer fiance of Dave Roth of Denver, Colorado, a brother, John Pyzer of California, a sister, Mary wife of Richard Hammond of Fort Collins, Colorado., and many nieces, and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his memorial service from the Buch Funeral Home 21 Market Square, Manheim, on Sunday, July 18, 2010 at 3:00 PM. Interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon from 2:00 PM until the time of the service.
