With family at her side at Landis Homes, Colleen J. Crouch, 89, of Lititz, and formerly of Flushing, NY, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, January 21, 2018. Raised in Kalamazoo and Muskegon, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Horace and Jeannie Mayeres Ritter. A homemaker, Colleen was the loving wife of the late Willard A. Crouch, Jr., who died in 1987. She is survived by her three daughters: Diane, wife of Juan Gonzalez of Myrtle Beach, SC, Donna Crouch of Teaneck, NJ, Linda Crouch of Lancaster, her grandson, Thomas Gonzalez, her brother, Russell, husband of Jor Ritter of Hudsonville, MI. Her brother Marion preceded her in death.
In her younger days, Colleen was active in children and youth ministries. She was known for her hospitality, baking, and cooking, especially her chocolate chip cookies and peach pies. An excellent seamstress, she sewed many clothes and home décor items, including her wedding gown and a beautiful quilt she designed.
Colleen was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, Lancaster. Her memorial service will be held in the EAST BETHANY CHAPEL at Landis Homes, 1001 East Oregon Road, Lititz on Saturday, February 10 at 3:00 pm. Friends are invited to visit with the family on Saturday from 2:00 pm until the time of the service. Interment will be private in Nassau Knolls Cemetery, Port Washington, NY. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent in Colleen’s memory to Landis Homes Caring Fund, 1001 East Oregon Road, Lititz, PA 17543.
