Clarence W. “Bill” Plows Jr., 66, of Lititz, died peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Saturday, June 15, 2013. Born in Johnstown, he was the son of the late Clarence W. Sr. and Doris Koontz Plows. Bill was the loving husband of Betty Worthington Plows and they would have observed their 50th wedding anniversary on December 21st of this year. He worked in the maintenance department for Meadows East Apartments, Manheim, for many years; previously he was a supervisor for Travis Mills Company, Lititz. Bill was a member of the Lititz Church of the Brethren. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and had a permanent camping site at Pinch Pond Camp Ground for his family to enjoy. His interests included: watching baseball, the Smurfs, and SpongeBob. Bill had a life-long passion for his family and loved participating in activities with his wife, children, and grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to his wife, is a son, Dave T. Plows Sr. of Manheim, a daughter, Michelle M. wife of Steve Beachy of Manheim, eleven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, two sisters: Pat wife of Lamar Horst of Denver, and Dolores J. Heisey of Manheim. Preceding him in death is a son William Plows.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his funeral service at the Buch Funeral Home 21 Market Square, Manheim, on Thursday, June 20, 2013 at 10:30 AM. Interment will be in Longenecker’s Brethren Cemetery, Warwick Township. There will be a viewing at the Buch Funeral Home on Wednesday evening from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM with additional viewing time on Thursday morning from 9:30 AM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers contributions may be sent in Bill’s memory to the Lititz Church of the Brethren 300 West Orange Street, Lititz, PA 17543.
