Clarence S. Stauffer

March 8, 1921 — June 5, 2015

Clarence S. Stauffer, 94 went home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 5, 2015 at
Landis Homes, Lititz. Born in Manheim. he was the first-born son of Henry W. and Emma B. (Snyder) Stauffer. Clarence is survived by his loving wife of 71 years and 2 days, Grace F. (Brubaker) Stauffer.

He worked for the John Cope Co. 69+years until retirement Oct. 2010. Clarence enjoyed yearly retreats with the family at Camp Hebron and get-togethers at holidays. In their active retirement years, Clarence and Grace enjoyed trips thru most US states, Europe, Middle East, Australia, & Central America. He enjoyed softball games and was tough to beat with his unique paddle grip at ping-pong. He was ordained in 1953 by the Lancaster Mennonite Conference and was pastor of Kauffman’s church for 40 years. Clarence was a member of the first Board of Directors for the Manheim Christian Day School and continued for 30 years, serving as Chairman for 20 years.

Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Nancy B. (Stauffer) wife of Ivan Wenger, Lititz; a son, David B. husband of Barbara (Rutt) Stauffer, Mt Joy, and a daughter, Joyce B. (Stauffer), wife of the late Irvin Enck, Lititz; a brother Howard and a sister, Helen Keiper. Clarence is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and 2 great step grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his memorial service at Landis Homes Retirement Community, WEST BETHANY CHAPEL, 799 East Oregon Road, Lititz on Sunday, June 14, 2015 at 3:00 PM. Friends may visit with the family immediately following the service. Interment will be private at Erisman Mennonite Cemetery.
