Clarence R. “CR” Doyle, 85, of Manheim passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at Hospice & Community Care, Mount Joy. Born in Lancaster County, he was the son of the late Charles and Hilda Vaughn Doyle. He was the loving husband of the late Jean M. Kilefner Doyle who died in 2010. Retired in 1985, CR worked for Bethlehem Steel and he was a member of Jerusalem Church, Penryn. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. CR was a member of Elstonville Sportsmen Association, Germania Band Club both of Manheim, Elizabethtown Moose and Lititz American Legion Post 56. His interests included NASCAR racing, riding motorcycles, Manheim Central Barons football and he loved to spend time with his family and friends.
Surviving are four children, Debora L. wife of George “Ronald” Nunemaker of Manheim, Douglas R. husband of Brenda Doyle of South Carolina, David L. husband of Lori Doyle of Manheim, Diane M. Hossler fiancée of Steve Leigey of Lititz, eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. He is also survived by his companion of the past five years, Kelly Heaton. CR was preceded in death by six brothers and a sister.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his funeral service at Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 10:30 AM. There will be a public viewing from 9:30 AM until the time of service. Interment in Manheim Fairview Cemetery with military honors.
