Clarence B. Nolt, 91 of Mount Joy went home to be with his Lord on Sunday, December 30, 2012 at Hospice & Community Care, Mount Joy. Born in West Hempfield Township, he was the son of the late Christian B. and Mabel Brubaker Nolt. Clarence was a devoted and loving husband of Naomi Wenger Nolt with whom he shared seventy-one years together on December 28, 2012. He was an active member of Chestnut Hill Mennonite Church, Columbia, where he served as an adult Sunday school teacher and a deacon for thirty-one years. Clarence and his wife started farming on the family farm in the spring of 1942. He was also employed at the former Hoffman Seed Company, Landisville where he became manager for warehouse shipping. Following retirement, Clarence worked fifteen years part-time for the Manheim Auto Auction. He loved all phases of the outdoors and enjoyed the beauty of God's creation; mountains, streams and wildlife. Surviving in addition to his wife is a daughter, Carolyn N. wife of Ben DeVerter of Smoketown, two sons, C. Lamar husband of Lisa Shertzer Nolt of Lancaster and Frank L. husband of JoAnn Padula Nolt of Lititz, five grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and a sister, Miriam Nolt of Landis Homes. He was preceded in death by a brother, Christian Nolt and a sister, Anna Mae Nolt. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his funeral service at Chestnut Hill Mennonite Church, 4050 Marietta Avenue, Columbia on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at 11:00 AM. Interment in Salunga Mennonite Cemetery, East Hempfield Township. There will be a public viewing at the church on Thursday morning from 9:00 AM until the time of service. Please omit flowers.
