Clarence A. "Jack" Gantz

Clarence A. “Jack” Gantz, 62, of Denver, passed away at his residence on Wednesday, November 30, 2016. Born in Rapho Township he was the son of the late Clarence A. and Frances C. Gromling Gantz. Jack was a hard working employee of Harrington Hoist, Manheim as an powered assembler. He was a 1973 graduate of Manheim Central High School and Mount Joy Vo-tech 3 years electrical occupations. He was the loving husband of Glenda Wolfe Gantz and they celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary in June of this year. Jack enjoyed spending time at their cabin in Potter County, the outdoors hunting, fishing, ATV riding, target shooting, and peace and quiet. He was a member of the Cocalico Sportsmen’s Club. Jack loved spending time with his family especially the grandchildren and going to watch them at their sporting events. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed by his family.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Glenda, is a son, Troy A. Gantz fiancé of Staci J. Tobias of Reinholds, a daughter Janell L. wife of Jeffrey J. Merk of East Earl, four grandsons, Tyler A. and Tanner A. Gantz of Reinholds, Christian J. and Preston J. Merk of East Earl, and three sisters, Nancy Aument and Karen Bechtold of Pequea, and Linda Wilson wife of Billy Wilson of Alpha IL. He was preceded in death by a sister, Doris Stum.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his memorial service at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at 11:00 AM. There will be a time of visitation with the family at the funeral home on Tuesday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers memorial contribution may be sent in Jack’s memory to Boy Scouts of America, 630 Janet Avenue, Lancaster, PA 17603.
