Clara R. Armold, 90, of Manheim, died peacefully on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at the United Zion Retirement Community. Born in Manheim, she was the daughter of the late Harrison and Mary Reppert Knier. She was the loving wife of the late Benjamin F. Armold who died in August of 2002. For over 26 years Clara worked at Warner-Lambert, Lititz. She was a graduate of the former Manheim High School. Clara was a faithful and active member of Salem United Methodist Church, Manheim, where she was a member of the Women’s Bible Study Class and one of the founders of the “Knit Wits” a knitting group of the church. Clara’s interests included: word puzzles, reading, and crocheting.
Surviving is a son, J. Duane Armold of Manheim, two sisters: Melissa K. wife of Larry Reagle of Mount Bethel, Deborah S. Grundza of Columbia, four grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren. Preceding her in death is a son, Steven R. Armold.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Clara’s funeral service at the Salem United Methodist Church, 140 North Penn Street, Manheim, on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at 10:30 AM. There will be a viewing at the church on Saturday morning from 9:30 AM till the time of the service. Interment will be in Ruhl’s United Methodist Cemetery. Please omit flowers.
