Clair T. Baker, 78, of Manheim, died peacefully on Friday, June 26, 2015 at the United Zion Retirement Community, Lititz. Born in Bedford County, he was the son of the late Millard and Pearl Feight Baker. Clair was the loving husband of the late Dorcas Nauman Baker who died in June of 2007. In 2002 Clair retired after owning and operating his own dump truck for many years; previously, he owned and operated the Clair T. Baker Septic Tank Service in Manheim, and in his early years delivered fuel for Phillips 66, Elizabethtown. Clair had a deep passion for the mountains and loved traveling to the family cabin he built in Bedford County. He enjoyed watching deer, mowing grass, and working outside his home. He loved to go out to eat at area restaurants especially meeting people at breakfast time.
Surviving is a brother, Harold husband of Mary Jane Baker of Millersville, and nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death is a sister, Viola Bennett, and six brothers: Dorsey, Boyd, Robert, Vaughn, Donald, and Carl Baker.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his funeral service at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim, on Friday, July 3, 2015 at 10:00 AM. There will be a viewing at the funeral home on Friday morning from 9:00 AM until the time of the service. Interment will be in East Fairview Church of the Brethren Cemetery, Rapho Township.
