Chris E. Dishart

     Chris E. Dishart, 65, of Mount Joy, died unexpectedly, Friday, January 26, 2024 at Lancaster General Hospital.  He was the loving husband of Sue (Kreiser) Dishart, and they spent 43 loving years together.  Born in Dover, DE, he is the son of Beverly (Cessna) Dishart of Mount Joy and the late Ralph Dishart, Jr.  Chris worked at Arconic, Lancaster, for 38 years before retiring in 2021.  He was a member of Mary Mother of the Church Parish, Mount Joy.  Chris enjoyed woodworking, riding motorcycles, and fishing, but his greatest joy was spending time with his family.

     Surviving in addition to his wife and mother is a son Justin Dishart, Tower City; two daughters Meagan wife of Gary Bare, Jr., Rising Sun, MD, Ashley Dishart wife of Robert Christensen, Jr., Elizabethtown; 12 grandchildren; three brothers Keith husband of Pam Dishart, Palmyra, Kevin husband of Tracy Dishart, Mountville, Bill husband of Noreen Dishart, Loudon, TN; and a sister Michelle wife of Don Wagner, Mount Joy.

    There will be a viewing held at the Mary Mother of the Church, 625 Union School Road, Mount Joy, PA, on Friday, February 2, 2024, from 10 AM - 11AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 AM and internment will be at Mount Joy Cemetery.
