Charles A. Tshudy, 41, of Manheim, died peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, February 28, 2025, at Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Hershey. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of Rose E. Alleman Tshudy of Manheim, and the late Robert E. Tshudy Sr.
He attended Manheim Central High School class of 2002, and graduated from Millersville University of Pennsylvania where he studied Accountancy.
Charles worked for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania first as an Income Maintenance Caseworker at the Lancaster County Assistance Office, then was a Program Specialist, and was promoted to Human Services Analyst for the Department of Human Services, Office of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services, Bureau of Policy and Program Development.
Charles achieved the honor of Eagle Scout and served his entire adult life as a volunteer in Manheim Scout Troop 307 and Cub Pack 307. Where he served in many rolls currently Scoutmaster and Cubmaster respectively, and awarding numerous Eagle Scouts. He attended many back country backpacking trips including Yellowstone National Park and Mount Washington . He was an accomplished bowler even scoring many 300 games. Charles additionally coached his kids youth baseball teams. He enjoyed playing cards, board games, and rooting for all Philadelphia’s sports teams. But he especially loved his family and devoted selfless time as a son, brother, uncle, fiancée and stepdad with whom he shared his interests.
Surviving in addition to his mother, Rose, are his half-sister, Robin E. Rohrer of Manheim, half-brother, William J. King, of Manheim (Shana), two nieces, Courtney King and Amber Rohrer, two nephews, Alexander King and Mathew Rohrer, great grandnieces and nephews, his beloved fiancée Rebecca Conzelmann (Lebanon), stepsons Aiden Conzelmann and Carl Hall, stepdaughters Zoey Conzelmann (fiancé Josh) and MaKenna Conzelmann. Preceding him in death are two half-brothers: Gary and Robert Tshudy Jr, a niece, Crystal Marie Rohrer, nephew, Michael Rohrer, six uncles: John, Richard, Donald, Harvey Tshudy, Robert and Clarence Alleman.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Charles’s Celebration of Life Service at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim, on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at 3:30 PM. There will be a viewing on Saturday afternoon at the funeral home from 2:00 PM until the time of the service. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may send contributions in Charles’ memory to Manheim Scout Troop 307 or Cub Pack 307, 130 South Fulton Street, Manheim, PA 17545.
