Charles P. Podlesny

Charles P. “Charlie” Podlesny, 89, of Manheim, passed away on Thursday, May 23, 2024 at Pleasant View Communities, Manheim. Born in Hazleton, he was the son of the late Andrew and Helen Bartoch Podlesny. He was the loving husband of Lillian Harvilla Podlesny and they observed their 63^rd wedding anniversary this past April. Charlie worked as a machinist for several Manufacturing Companies. He was an avid Phillies and Eagles fan and also enjoyed gardening, woodworking and playing BARGO at the local VFW. 

            Surviving in addition to his wife, Lillian, are three daughters; Beth Ann wife of John Hill of Dayton, OH, Kathleen Martin of Annapolis, MD, Christine Podlesny of North Myrtle Beach, SC, and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Charles J. “Chuck” Podlesny and five siblings.

            Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Charlie’s Memorial Service at Pleasant View Communities – Hoffer Auditorium, 544 North Penryn Road, Manheim on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at 11:00 AM. There will be a time of visitation from 10:30 AM until the time of service. Interment will be private.
