Charles K. Squibb Gebhart, 73, of Mount Joy, died Friday January 8, 2010 at Lancaster General Hospital.
He was the widow of the late Darlene J. Deanie Gebhart, who died earlier this year. Born in Mount Joy, He was the son of the late Harry S. and Esther (Vogel) Gebhart. He was a deliveryman and warehouse technician for the former SICO Oil Co. of Mount Joy, and had also worked at the former Gerberich and Payne Shoe Co. of Mount Joy. He had attended Christ Church United Church of Christ in Elizabethtown, and was a member of the former Florin Fire Co. He enjoyed hunting, gardening, riding his Indian Motorcycle, and was an avid Phillies fan.
Surviving are two sons, Steven Gebhart of Mount Joy, Jeffrey husband of Andrea Gebhart of Elizabethtown; two grandchildren Jennifer and Ryan Gebhart both of Elizabethtown; a brother Harry R. husband of Betty Gebhart of Mount Joy; and a sister Mildred A. Balmer of Brigham City, Utah.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his memorial service at LCBC, 2392 Mount Joy Road, Manheim PA, in the Great Room (lower level) on Tuesday January 12, 2010 at 10:00 A.M., with Matt Goss officiating. There will be a time of visitation with the family immediately following the service in the Atrium of the church.
