Charles A. Putt, Jr., 77, of New Kingstown, PA, formerly of Lancaster, died Sunday March 6, 2016 at his residence. He was the husband of the late Patricia (Wilsher) Putt who died in 2008. Born in Mount Joy he was the son of the late Charles A. Sr. and Emma (Geibe) Putt. Charles was a self-employed carpenter. He enjoyed playing the guitar, sang with a band in his earlier years, and people would say he looked like Elvis Presley.
Surviving is a daughter Greta Pifer of New Kingstown; two sons Sean of Houston, TX, Troy of Lancaster; four grandchildren Brandon Pifer, Christine, Jasmine, and Justin Putt; four sisters Sandy Myers of Middletown, Marion Hess of Mount Joy, Dianne Rawson of Mannington WV, Linda Dorsey of Florence, KS; and two brothers Jim of Middletown, and Harold of West Virginia. In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in death by a sister Virginia.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his funeral service from the Buch Funeral Home, 21 W. Main St. Mount Joy, on Saturday March 12, 2016 at 2:00 PM. Interment will be in Cross Roads Brethren in Christ Cemetery. There will be a public viewing on Saturday at the funeral home from 1:00 pm until the time of the service.
