Carolyn A. "Carol" Richards

Carolyn A. “Carol” Richards, 91, a long time resident of Wakefield, Rhode Island, died peacefully on Wednesday, April 10, 2024. Born in South Kingstown, RI, she was the daughter of the late Gideon and Gladys Pierson Allen. Carol was the loving wife of the late George C. Richards who died in January of 2004. Carol worked as a waitress in restaurants in the South Kingstown area. She attended the First Baptist Church of Narragansett. Her interests included: knitting, rooting for her Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots sports teams, camping, yard saling, and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren whom she adored.

Surviving are three sons: Bruce M. husband of Susan Richards of Manheim, PA, Ronald G. husband of Bethany Richards, and Jeffrey husband of Lynn Richards all of South Kingstown, RI, nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters, and four brothers.

A memorial service for Carol will take place at the First Baptist Church of Narragansett, 305 Kingston Road, Narragansett, RI on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at 10 AM.  In lieu of flowers, those desiring may send contributions in Carol’s memory to Narragansett Baptist Church’s mission fund.
