Carol A. "Cookee" Olesen

Carol A. Cookee Olesen, 61, of Manheim, died peacefully surrounded by her family and friends on Thursday, September 2, 2010 at the Lancaster General Hospital.

Born in Lebanon, she was the daughter of the late Charles C. and Lucy Glovan Burke. Carol was employed as a secretary for J. J. Material Handling Systems Inc. in Manheim. Cookie was a member of Ruhls United Methodist Church, Manheim, and was an avid fan of the Manheim Central Barons Football Team.

Surviving is a son, Ryan C. husband of Devon Smith Olesen of Manheim, a daughter, Crystal A. Olesen of Manheim, two grandchildren: Ryan and Avery, and a sister, Connie wife of Ivan Troxel Jr. of Leola.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim, on Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at 10:30 AM with Pastor Rob Timlin officiating. Interment is in Hernley Mennonite Cemetery, Rapho Township. There will be a public viewing at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6:30 PM till 8:00 PM with additional viewing time on Wednesday morning from 9:30 AM until the time of the service.
