Carl M. Stauffer

June 27, 1934 — April 15, 2016

Carl M. Stauffer, 81, of Manheim entered into eternal peace on Friday, April 15, 2016 at Manor Care, Lebanon. Born in Neffsville, he was the son of the late M. Kenneth and Laura Todd Stauffer. He was the loving husband of Joanne F. Gibble Stauffer and they would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in May. Carl graduated in 1953 from Manheim Township High School and he proudly served in the United States Army. He retired after forty years from the former Graybill’s Dairy, Lititz. Carl was the last home delivery man in Lancaster County. Following retirement, he worked part-time for Manheim Specialty Machine Shop and the Manheim Central School District. Carl was a member of Salem United Methodist Church, Manheim. His interests included, traveling, family camping, bowling, softball and he was an avid Manheim Central sports fan. Carl also had an interest in cars and in the past owned a 1928 Model A Ford.
Surviving in addition to his wife is a son Randal D. husband of Denise Woomert Stauffer of Manheim, a daughter, Patti L. wife of Doug Tingen of Lititz, two grandchildren, Hillary wife of Adrin Vargas, Taylor husband of Brianna Stauffer and four sisters, Marion Shelley of Lititz, Eleanor Barr of Akron, Anetta wife of Clifford Keith and Bernice wife of Kenneth Kline both of Lititz. He was preceded in death by a brother, James L. Stauffer.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his memorial service at Salem United Methodist Church, 140 North Penn Street, Manheim on Thursday, April 21, 2016 at 11:00 AM. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 AM until the time of service. There will be additional visitation time with the family at the Buch Funeral Home 21 Market Square, Manheim on Wednesday evening from 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM. Interment will be private in East Fairview Brethren Cemetery, Rapho Township. Please omit flowers. Those desiring may send contributions in Carl’s memory to Hospice & Community Care, P.O.
