Carl Tony Hoover, 79, of Oxford, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at his residence. He was the devoted husband of the late Constance (Donal) Hoover. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Carl H. and Carda (Elliot) Hoover. Carl was a respected HVAC engineer for Witmer Co. in New Holland and shared his passion for learning as a teacher at Swift Middle School in the Solanco School District. He is survived by his son, Carl S. Hoover, and his wife, Linda “Heather” (Hicks) Hoover, of Aberdeen, NC, and his grandson, Carl Noah Hoover, at home. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Molly Clawson.
