Carl F. Anderson, Sr., 60, of Akron, passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at Penn State Health Lancaster Medical Center. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Charles B. and Doris Worrell Anderson. He was the loving companion of Barbara Ann “Barb” Stokes of Strasburg for 40 years. Carl was a tow motor operator for Vallorbs, Bird In Hand. He enjoyed listening to music and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Carl was also an avid Eagles fan.
Carl had a love for people, he enjoyed spending time outdoors, walking, music; and being with friends really filled his life. He had a deep and sincere passion for his family, and cherished all the time he could spend with his children, grandchildren, and extended family. He loved helping his family and friends with anything they needed. He became a follower of the Lord and encouraged others who he met to grow in their faith to be followers too. He was a humble, gentile person who wanted to make this world a better place.
Surviving in addition to his companion, Barb, are two sons; Keith Stokes, Carl “Jr.” husband of Samantha Anderson, four grandchildren; Ashton, Brentlee, Christian, and Declan, two brothers; Chuck Anderson, Charles Penn III, and four sisters; Glenda Pluck, Sherry Taska, Robyn Fitting, and Jennie Duran. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard Anderson and Bryan Anderson.
