Bruce M. Peacock, 96, Lititz, died peacefully Friday December 30, 2016 at Moravian Manor, Lititz where he and his wife were residents. He was the loving husband of Dorothy (Hassler) Peacock. They celebrated 71 years of marriage this past July 2016. Born in Harrisburg, he was the son of the late John and Grace (Bradley) Peacock. Bruce was a graduate of Lehigh University, Bethlehem, PA with a BS in Mechanical Engineering, and was employed as an engineer at the Former Bethlehem Steel Corp. before retiring. He was also employed by General Electric Corp. Bruce was a member of the Paoli Presbyterian Church. He was lovingly called a “gear head” because of his fascination with cars, and he also enjoyed bowling and was an avid audiophile.
Surviving in addition to his wife Dorothy are two daughters Sherry D. wife of John Conner, Sykesville MD; Nancy Mergenthal, Sicklerville NJ; three grandchildren, Gene Mergenthal, Jackie DiMauro, and Matthew Mergenthal; and four great grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, John Peacock Jr.
At Bruce’s request services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
