Bonnie L. Kellenberger, 65, of 4855 Elizabethtown Road, Manheim died peacefully surrounded by her family, on Thursday, April 8, 2010 at Hospice Of Lancaster County Mount Joy.
Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late H. Robert and Dorothy Ridinger Dourte. Bonnie worked for Hamilton Watch Company Lancaster and Swiss Watch Technology Center Lititz. She was the loving wife of Richard J. Kellenberger Jr. and they would have celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary in August of this year. She was a regular attendee of LCBC Manheim. Bonnie was well known throughout Lancaster County as the Bichon Queen a breeder and groomer of Bichon Frise Dogs. She was the owner of Bichon Frise Grooming Manheim for 18 years; at one time she took care of grooming 120 Bichon Frise dogs in the Lancaster County area. She was a 1962 graduate of Manheim Central High School and was a passionate and loyal Manheim Central Football Fan. Bonnie enjoyed traveling, attending amusement parks and experiencing water rides of all types. Surviving in addition to her husband, is a son Richard R. Bates of Manheim.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service from the Buch Funeral Home 21 Market Square Manheim on Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at 10:30 AM. Interment is in Manheim Fairview Cemetery Penn Township. There will be a public viewing at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM with additional viewing on Tuesday morning from 9:30 AM until the time of the service.
