Blanche L. Erdman

Blanche L. Erdman, 85, of East Petersburg passed away at home on Thursday, December 27, 2012. Born in Herndon, she was the daughter of the late William and Carrie Morgan Kimmel. She was the wife of the late Roy A. Erdman who died in 1993. A homemaker, Blanche worked earlier in her career at the former International Signal and Control Corp., Lancaster. She graduated from Lower Mahanoy Township High School, Dalmatia in 1946 where she was a star basketball player. Her interests included doll collecting, shopping, flower gardening, square dancing and she loved taking care of cats. Surviving are three children, Roy A. Erdman of Chester Springs, Beverly J. wife of Robert W. Lawrence of Newark, Delaware and Larry A. husband of Teresa Erdman of Manheim, a granddaughter, Brandi wife of Greg M. Reardon of Elkton, Maryland, two great granddaughters, Breanna and Bridget Reardon and two sisters, Betty wife of Herman Huntzinger of Conestoga and Doris Williams of Kingsport, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her memorial service at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim on Sunday, December 30, 2012 at 3:00 PM. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon from 2:00 PM until the time of service.
