Betty Mae Traser

October 27, 1923 — January 25, 2017

Betty Mae (Cummings) Traser, 93, of Manheim, passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at Spring Creek Nursing Home, Harrisburg. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Albert Machmer and Aleida Imhoff Machmer White and stepfather, John White. She was the wife of the late Samuel R. Traser who died in 1980. She attended LCBC, Manheim campus where she served as a greeter and most recently she was a member of Grace Community Church of Willow Street. She was also a member of the Penn Dutch Pacer Volksmarch Club, Lancaster and the Manheim VFW Post 5956 Ladies Auxiliary. Betty’s interests included gardening, reading and fishing.

Surviving are three sons, Rev. Richard F. Jr. husband of Patricia Cummings of Willow Street, Kenny L. husband of Janet Cummings of Manheim, Anthony E. husband of Jean Cummings of Middletown, 9 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Rodney J. Cummings and a sister, Althea Hughett Lewallan.

Graveside Services will be private and at the convenience of the family with Rev. Wil Martin officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Betty’s memory to Alzheimer’s Association 2595 Interstate Drive, Suite 100, Harrisburg, PA 17110-9378.
