Betty E. Hoke, 98, formerly of Middletown, died peacefully on Monday October 7, 2019 at Masonic Village, Elizabethtown. She was the widow of Clarence F. Hoke who died in 1974. Born in Royalton, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Dorothy (Keiffer) Keene. Betty worked in instrument repair at the former Olmsted Air Force Base, Middletown. Betty was a member of the Evangelical United Methodist, Middletown; volunteered for “Meals on Wheels” and enjoyed jigsaw puzzles.
Surviving is a daughter Shirley A. wife of Karl V. Kupp, Hummelstown; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and a companion John Alexander, Middletown.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her memorial service at the Evangelical United Methodist Church, 157 E. Water Street, Middletown, on Monday October 14, 2019 at 11:00 AM. Interment in Middletown Cemetery will be private. There will be a time of visitation with the family on Monday at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Betty’s memory may be sent to the Evangelical United Methodist Church, 157 E. Water St. Middletown PA 17057.
