Betty B. Hess

May 12, 1927 — February 28, 2017

Betty B. Hess, 89, of Lancaster, formerly of Manheim, died Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at Brethren Village, Lancaster where she had been a resident for 10 years. Born in Rapho Twp., she was the daughter of the late J. Roy and Nora Greiner Brenneman. Betty was a homemaker. She was the loving wife of the late, Paul Hess, Jr. who died in April of 2012. Betty was a member of Salem United Methodist Church, Manheim where she was a Sunday school teacher. She was a graduate of the former Mount Joy High School, class of 1945. She enjoyed swimming cooking and gardening.

Surviving are four children, Richard P. husband of Deborah Hess of Bainbridge, William D. husband of Ann Marie Hess of Ephrata, Scott B. husband of Annette Hess of Mount Joy, Lisa K. wife of Scott Andrews of McVeytown, eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, a brother, Merle Brenneman of Mount Joy, four sisters; Arlene wife of Galen Nissley, Marian wife of Donald Moseman, Janice wife of Kenneth Sheneberger all of Manheim and Jeanette Ebersole of Mount Joy.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her memorial service at the Brethren Village Chapel, 3001 Lititz Pike, Lancaster, on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 10:00 AM. There will be a time of visitation with the family from 9:30 AM until the time of the service. Interment will be held in Manheim Fairview Cemetery.
