Beatrice B. Shenk

August 6, 1917 — February 27, 2011

Beatrice "Bebe" Shenk, 93, of Brethren Village, formerly of Manheim, passed away on Sunday, February 27, 2011 at Essa Flory Hospice Center, Lancaster. Born in Freeland, PA she was the daughter of the late Ira C. and Mary M. Mockaitis Berger. She was the wife of the late H. Martin "Bud" Shenk who died in 1999. Bebe received her teaching degrees from West Chester and Millersville Universities. After 25 years of teaching, Bebe retired as a second grade teacher at the H.C. Burgard Elementary School, Manheim. She was a member of Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, Lancaster, and formerly Zion Lutheran Church, Manheim. Bebe was known for her beautiful smile. Her passion in life was caring for and loving her family. She was a help and inspiration to all who knew her. The family extends their thanks to Hospice of Lancaster County and Brethren Village, especially the staff on Clover Ridge South, for providing comfort, excellent care, love and support for Bebe and her family. Surviving are three daughters: Mary Ann Frontz, wife of Clint Frontz, of Lititz; Judy Wenrich, wife of Don Wenrich, of Manheim; Peg Cromer Greiner, wife of Jim Greiner, of Lititz; six grandchildren: The Rev. Maurice "Chip" Frontz, David Frontz, Jen Wenrich Boval, Steve Wenrich, Ginny Cromer, Joni Cromer; and ten great-grandchildren. Bebe was preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers. Funeral Services will be private and at the convenience of the family with interment at Manheim Fairview Cemetery, Penn Township. Please omit flowers.
