Barry W. Simmons

Barry W. Simmons, 57, of Lancaster, passed away Saturday evening, November 17, 2012 at Penn State Hershey Medical Center, surrounded by his family. Born June 21, 1955, he was a son of the late William A. Simmons Sr. and Mary E. (Sauder) "Simmons. Barry enjoyed skiing, running, nature, photography and riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle. Barry was a member of the Teamsters Local 771 and retired from Yellow Freight after 25 years of service. He then went on to work in real estate and owned and operated a concession business. Barry is survived by his sister, Diane M. Deatrick, and brother, James L. Simmons Sr., both of Lancaster, and his close companion, Jennifer. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday, November 26, 2012 at the Buch Funeral Home 21 Market Square Manheim. A visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. prior to service with interment following the service at Millersville Mennonite Church Cemetery.
