Barbara McCarty

Barbara McCarty, 74, of Manheim, died peacefully on Sunday, March 27, 2011 in Lebanon. Born in Columbia, she was the daughter of the late William J. and Marion Sours Blank. Barb retired from K-D Tools in Lancaster where she worked as an administrative assistant. She was a life member of the Elstonville Sportsmen Association. Her interests included: bird watching, traveling to Potter County, sun bathing, dogs, enjoying the outdoors and scenic mountains. Barb will be lovingly missed by her companion and life partner for 40 years, Fred Ruebman, sisters-in-law, Judy wife of Richard, Janet wife of Robert, Joan, Jane wife of Hank, brothers"in-law: Jack husband of Maudine, Jim husband of Jane and care giver and close friend for over three years Tammy. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Barb's celebration of life and remembrance service at the Buch Funeral Home 21 Market Square , Manheim, on Friday, April 1, 2011 at 4:00 PM. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family in Mount Bethel Cemetery, Columbia. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Friday afternoon from 3:00 PM until the time of the service.
