Barbara A. “Barb” Knier, 69, of Manheim passed away on Monday, November 9, 2015 at Hospice & Community Care, Mount Joy. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of Ruth Gibble Ginder of Brethren Village and the late Elam Z. Ginder. She was married fifty two years to Ronald E. Knier Sr. Barb worked in the cafeteria for the Manheim Central School District and at the Basket Warehouse, Manheim until her retirement. She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Congregational Church, Manheim and grew up in Chiques Church of the Brethren, Manheim. Barb enjoyed collecting Boyds Bears. She loved to spend time with her family and friends and she had a passion for helping children.
Surviving in addition to her husband are three sons, Ronald E. Knier Jr. companion of Cheryl Campbell of Akron, Jeffrey S. husband of Kathleen Knier of Lititz, Troy A. Knier companion of Stacy Shellenberger of Elizabethtown, three grandchildren, Kris, Shelly, Bryce, three great grandchildren and a sister, Peggy L. “Peg” wife of Randy L. Enck of Manheim. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Jo Knier and a brother, Robert E. Ginder.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her memorial service at Trinity Evangelical Congregational Church, 48 Market Square, Manheim on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at 11:00 AM. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Interment will be private in Chiques Brethren Cemetery, Rapho Township. Please omit flowers.
