Audrey M. Houck-Johnson, 88, of Manheim, passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at Moravian Manor, Lititz. Born in Phoenixville, she was the daughter of the late Peter M. and Sarah Behney Hartman. She was the wife of the late Clyde H. Johnson who died in 2005 and her first husband the late J. Franklin Houck who died in 1987. Audrey worked as a bus aide for Joseph C. Graybill, Inc., Manheim and in her earlier years she worked for the former Acme Markets in Bridgeport and New Holland also Hubley Manufacturing Co., Lancaster. She graduated from McCaskey High School and was a member of Salem United Methodist Church, Manheim. Audrey enjoyed gardening, reading her Bible and she loved to spend time with her family.
Surviving are two children, Joanne wife of Dale Montgomery of Lititz and Thomas Houck of Missouri fiancé of Cheryl Shelly of Manheim, five grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, six brothers and a sister. She was preceded in death by four brothers and a sister.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service at Salem United Methodist Church, 140 North Penn Street, Manheim on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at 11:00 AM. There will be a public viewing from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Interment in Conestoga Memorial Park, Lancaster. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may send contributions in Audrey’s memory to Salem United Methodist Church, 140 North Penn Street, Manheim, PA 17545.
