Arthur V. Kreischer Sr.

Arthur V. Kreischer, Sr, 91, formerly of Mount Joy, and Brickerville died peacefully on Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at the Pleasant View Retirement Community, Manheim.

Born in Sunbury, he was the son of the late John and Rose Gilbert Kreischer. Art worked for the former Sensenich Corp. Lititz. He was the husband of Janice I. Nissley Kreischer and he passed away on their 48th wedding anniversary. Art had a passion for reading and traveling; he was an expert carpenter and builder where he built his own home many years ago.
Surviving in addition to his wife are three sons: Arthur V. Jr. husband of Patti Kreischer of Elm, Joseph R. Kreischer of Sunbury, David L. Kreischer of Mount Joy, a daughter, Rose M. wife of Joseph Iandolo of Columbia, eight grandchildren, three great grandchildren, a brother, Glen husband of Hazel Kreischer of Collegeville, two sisters: Doris Fisher of Selinsgrove and Joanne Kreischer of Arizona. Preceding him in death are four brothers and one sister. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his funeral service at the Buch Funeral Home 21 Market Square, Manheim, on Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at 10:00 AM with Chaplain Lee R. Damon officiating. Interment is in Mt. Airy Cemetery, Clay Township. There will be a viewing on Tuesday morning at the funeral home from 9:00 AM until the time of the service.
