Arthur R. Williams Jr., 53, of East Petersburg, died Saturday, February 5, 2011 following a valiant fight with leukemia at the Hershey Medical Center and went home to be with his heavenly Father.
Affectionately called Binky by his family, Art was born in Bluefield, West Virginia; he was the son of Arthur R. Sr., and Maxie M. Billips Williams of Mount Joy. For over thirty years Art worked as a Tool Crib Supervisor for the former Amp. Inc; now known as Tyco Electronics. Art was the loving husband of Eileen Henehan Williams and they would have observed their 28th wedding anniversary in May of this year. An active Christian, he was a member of Faith United Methodist Church Lititz, where he was head of the communion ushers and served on many committees throughout the years. He was a 1975 graduate of Donegal High School and attended the Vocational-Technology program. An avid bowler, having five 300 games and numerous scores in the 700s and 800s; throughout his participation in many bowling leagues throughout the county. He was an avid NASCAR and Washington Redskins fan and he enjoyed attending the Orioles baseball games. He attended almost all of his grandchildrens soccer games and was their greatest fan. He has left a legacy of family and friends. He was always honest and sincere with anyone he met. While being treated for leukemia he was an inspiration to numerous patients he met and shared with the medical staff at the Hershey Cancer Center. He was loved by all.
Surviving in addition to his wife and parents are three sons: Sergeant Timothy J. Kuster presently serving his third tour in Iraq (wife Jennifer) of Fort Carson, CO., Robert J. Kuster (wife Sarah) of Lancaster, David A. Williams of Columbia, four loving grandchildren: Ryan, Leigha, Olivia, Dale, a sister, Teresa I. Lehman (husband Duane) of Manheim, and a brother, Jeffrey A. Williams (wife Lisa) of Mount Joy. He leaves all his wonderful nieces and nephewswhom he dearly loved.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his funeral service at the Faith United Methodist Church 1290 Fruitville Pike, Lititz, PA on Saturday, February 12, 2011 at 11:00 AM with the Reverend Hannah Adair Bonner officiating. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family in Manheim Fairview Cemetery, Penn Township. There will be a viewing at the Buch Funeral Home 21 Market Square, Manheim on Friday evening from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM with additional viewing time on Saturday morning at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
