Arlene Edna Willen, 70, of Manheim, died peacefully Tuesday August 16, 2016 at her residence with her family by her side. Arlene was the wife of Delmer D. Willen and they celebrated 54 years of marriage. Born in Quarryville, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Betty (Hubert) Fisher. Arlene was employed at John Cope Food Products, Inc of Rheems for 30 years last working in quality control, and retired after more than 8 years at the Elizabethtown School District in food service. Arlene and her husband enjoyed camping when attending Bluegrass music festivals. She also enjoyed cooking, quilting, and gardening, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
Surviving in addition to her husband “Dee” is a son Kenneth D. Willen, Manheim; three daughters Lois wife of Edward Miles, Elizabethtown, Diane Burger, Hallam; Michelle Willen, Manheim; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother Richard husband of Nancy Graham, Elizabethtown; and two sisters Susannah Groff, Elizabethtown, and Linda Graham, Lancaster. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a granddaughter Ciara Willen and a brother LeRoy Hubert.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service at the Rissers Mennonite Church, 8360 Elizabethtown Road, Elizabethtown PA on Monday August 22, 2016 at 11:00 AM. There will be a public viewing at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Interment will be in Kraybill Mennonite Cemetery.
