Ardith B. "Art" Waltz

            Ardith B. “Art” Waltz, 89, of Manheim, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, February 5, 2024. Born in Rapho Township, he was the son of the late Amos and Elanora Becker Waltz. He was the loving husband of Nancy C. Hummer Waltz and they observed their 63^rd wedding anniversary this past October.  Art owned and operated his farm in Rapho Township. He also worked as an arbitrator for the Manheim Auto Auction for 55 years.  Art was a member of the Roby Hollow Rod & Gun Club in Tioga County and he was a lifetime member of the NRA. He proudly served in the United States Army. His interests included farming, hunting and he loved to spend time with his family.

            Surviving in addition to his wife, Nancy, is a son, Jan husband of Kimberly Waltz of Manheim, four grandchildren: Zachary, Lexe, Lindsay, Kassidy, two sisters, Evelyn Goss of Lititz, Dorothy wife of Carl Myer of Elm and a brother, Gerald husband of Starr Waltz of Mount Joy.

            The family extends their sincere thanks and appreciation to all devoted and loving caregivers at Hospice & Community Care and the Lancaster Cancer Center, Lampeter Road.

            Services are private and at the convenience of the family.
