Anthony J. Smeltzer, Sr.

Anthony J. Smeltzer Sr., 76, of Elizabethtown passed away on Friday, August 13, 2010 at Lancaster General Hospital following a brief illness. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Henry T. and Edith A. Martin Smeltzer. He was the husband of the late Peggy L. Zerphey Smeltzer who died in 1999. Anthony was a mechanic for the Elizabethtown Borough Authority. He previously worked for the former Risser Motors, Elizabethtown. An avid hunter, Anthony was a member of the West Lancaster Hunting Camp in Tioga County. He was a life member of the NRA and he enjoyed riding motorcycles.
Surviving is a son, Ronald E. husband of Charity Uhlig Smeltzer of Elizabethtown, a daughter, Cindy S. wife of Elwood D. Gerver of Mount Joy; seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and two brothers, Michael and Henry Smeltzer. He was preceded in death by a son, Anthony J. Smeltzer Jr.
