Anna M. Shenigo, 99, of Lancaster, passed away peacefully on Saturday March 24, 2012 at Conestoga View, Lancaster. Born in Paint Township, Somerset County, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Annie Pero Bednar. She was the wife of the late Andrew T. Shenigo who died in 1980. Anna worked 19 years as an inspector at the former Federal Mogul, Lancaster. She was a member of St. Richard Catholic Church, Manheim. Her interests included quilting and crocheting. She is survived by a son, Andrew T. Jr. husband of Margaret Shenigo of Holtwood, ten grandchildren, twenty three great grandchildren, eighteen great-great grandchildren, two brothers, Michael Bednar of Cainbrook, Joseph Bednar of Central City and three sisters, Agnes Palya of Central City, Dorothy Smolar and Bernadine Zell both of Lancaster, and a daughter in law, Barbara Shenigo. She was preceded in death by two sons, Thomas Shenigo and Michael A. Shenigo Sr., a granddaughter, Kathy Jean Shenigo, a grandson, John Shenigo, one brother, Andrew Bednar, two sisters, Mary Witkecz and Helen Draelick. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Richard Catholic Church, 110 North Oak Street, Manheim on Thursday, March 29, 2012 at 10:30 AM with Reverend Father Francis T. Menei as celebrant. Interment in Manheim Fairview Cemetery, Penn Twp. There will be a public viewing at the church on Thursday morning from 9:30 AM until the time of service. The family has requested casual attire for the service. Please omit flowers.
