Anna M. Paparo, 87, of Lancaster, died peacefully on Monday, November 21, 2016 at Ephrata Manor Retirement Community. Born in Johnstown, she was the daughter of the late Guiseppe and Mary Hall LaRosa. A homemaker, Anna was the loving wife of the late Joseph R. Paparo Jr. who died in June of this year. Anna was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Lancaster. Her interests included: sewing, crocheting, and bowling. She was a wonderful cook delighting her family and friends over the years with superb meals. Anna was a passionate flower gardener; tending to her many rose bushes she planted with love over the years at her home.
Surviving is a son, Anthony J. husband of Sharon Paparo of Wimberley, TX, a daughter, Deborah A. Paparo of Lancaster, three grandchildren: Alicia, John, Elizabeth, a brother, William husband of Flo LaRosa of Gastonia, NC, and a sister, Frances Brendlinger of Lancaster. Preceding her in death are three brothers and one sister.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Anna’s funeral service at the Buch Funeral Home, 216 South Broad Street, Lititz, on Monday, November 28, 2016 at 11:00 AM. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Monday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Interment will be in St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery, Lancaster.
