Anna M. Ober, 87, of Manheim, died peacefully surrounded by her family and went to be with Jesus on Sunday, November 25, 2012 at Hospice and Community Care, Mount Joy. Born in Portland, Oregon, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Anna Dozer Rigdon, and the stepdaughter of the late Violet Deal Rigdon. Anna worked for Datcon Instrument Company East Petersburg until her retirement. She was the loving wife of Monroe Y. Ober and they observed their 68th wedding anniversary in March of this year. Anna was a member of the First Assembly of God in Lancaster. She taught Sunday school for many years at the former First Pentecostal Church in Manheim. Her interests included: crocheting, needlepoint, and reading. Surviving in addition to her husband, are three sons: Albert M. husband of Shari Ober of Lititz, Michael E. husband of Cathy Ober of Ephrata, Daniel A. husband of Marie Ober of Elizabethtown, one daughter, Elizabeth A. Ober of Maytown, nine grandchildren: Holly, Troy, Stephanie, Rebecca, Michael, Juliana, Kathryn, Laura, Melissa, fifteen great grandchildren, a brother, Verne husband of Paula Rigdon of Reno, Nevada, and a sister, Beulah Fowler of Carson City, Nevada. She was preceded in death by a brother, Walter Rigdon, and a sister, Shirley Wolz. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service at the Buch Funeral Home 21 Market Square, Manheim, on Thursday evening, November 29, 2012 at 7:00 PM. Interment will be in Longenecker's Brethren Cemetery, Temperance Hill Road and Longenecker Road, Lititz, on Friday at 11:00 AM. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6:00 PM until the time of the service.
